I love I Can Has Cheezburger
so much. I remember when I finally
found it, I stayed up all night, devouring images and trying so hard not to laugh for fear of waking someone up. I'd never though of submitting my own captioned pic until DnD a week ago when John piled the marinara on Cat's head and suddenly /b/ jokes were abounding.
moar funny pictures
I'm in two DnD campaigns right now. The first is Matt's Eberron thing. So far, pretty cool. It's weird to play DnD after so long. I haven't since early high school. I remember Kris (mom's 4th hubby) mentioning once that he'd played DnD, and my mom gav him such a look. Probably for encouraging me, because at the time she was going thru some ultra Christian phase and felt that DnD would lead me into Satanism. Kris was forever awesome for it, tho. =D Anywho. The second Campaign is Cross' 4 edition one and it's pretty awesome. He's a good DM, and the story is pretty sweet. I figured since I posted that Cat macro, I might as well give the other pics from the DnD session I have.
Matt's shirt says "I say we Fireball the place." Nerd fashion FTW!

Amanda, who is Cross' fiance.
John. I believe I'm going to sell him on Craigslist.
A much better picture of Hannah.
Mr. Cross' closeup.
And my baby, fast asleep.
Time for another recipe! This one I got off the back of the bread crumbs I'd bought for something else. It sounded interesting, and I decided to give it a try. Sorry I only have a pic of it half eaten. I went to just try it so I could say here if it as good or bad.....and it was delicious. So I forgot about taking a picture for a minute. Even super picky I-don't-really-like-new-flavors Matt fell totally in love with it. He came home from work, pounced me and began begging, "The chicken was so good! Please can we have it again!? Not tomorrow...but soon? pleaseohpleaseohplease?"
Lemon Pepper Chicken
Lemon Pepper Seasoning
Mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip)
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
Preheat the oven to 375, coat the chicken with mayonnaise. In a large, shallow dish, mix together breadcrumbs and lemon pepper seasoning. I eyeballed everything, and wet my fingertip, dipping it in the crumbs/seasoning mix and tasting to get the ratio to something I liked. Coat the chicken pieces with it, and bake until you cut into the chicken and no longer see pink. It took about 45 minutes for mine and I had thick chicken pieces.
So easy, right? I love recipes with 4 ingredients or less, so I can see this becoming a good go-to meal. I served it with broccoli and cheese, and it as overall really great.
The broccoli and cheese, by the way, was via a Green Giant steamer bag. I used to think that people who did the microwavable steamed vegetables were just lazy, but after living with Erica, my mind's been changed completely. They're more flavorful, probably have a better nutritional value, and aren't mch more expensive than canned goods of comparable amounts. I prefer steamed over boiled, but can't afford a steamer. It makes it easier on storage, since our kitchen arrangements leaves us one cabinet to ourselves and there's a ton of space in the freezer. So I guess that makes me a convert. lol I'm looking forward to earning a paycheck so that there will be more money to spend on doing fun things and buying groceries ,etc. There are so many things I'm craving so badly (potstickers, eggplant, taco salad) that I haven't been able to cook because there are just too many/too expensive ingredients in them. I know this week we'll be having lemon pepper chicken, frito chili pie and chicken pot pie for our big dishes, and getting more Ramen since we're running low. I also want to have some vegetable soup one night.
Anywho, take care, bbs. I gotta get some sleep for DnD tonight.
